Shaun has given our children self-belief and a can do attitude to school life which will remain part of their toolkit for a happy and successful life! It gives our school the H-Factor because if you’re HAPPY in what you’re doing, you achieve more…simple, yet somehow in education we all make it sound like rocket science!"

I have worked with Shaun for over 9 years and he has had a profound impact on the pupil's, staff and parents he has worked with.He is someone with great integrity who always puts young people first. He believes that through building a child's confidence, resilience and aspiration, anything is possible. Shaun has always adapted his approach to suit the needs of the pupil, family or class he is working with. This flexible approach means that he is invariably successful to meet the desired outcome. I can unreservedly recommend Shaun to you as someone with an unwavering work ethic, charisma, empathy and vision. His coaching is pupil focused, proven and highly effective.

Everything you have provided school has blown me away!! From the girls football sessions, to supporting our most vulnerable children, everything has been incredible. Totally inclusive, engaging and the girls (many who"d not kicked a ball before) have loved every minute of every session. I know personally this has made a massive difference in the lives of the individual children you have helped - whom I am sure will remember your kind gestures for a lifetime, so on behalf of me and those I thank you sincerely. I hope your next project reaches just as many vulnerable children & families.

“The work that has gone into producing these personal development & well-being programmes for young females is absolutely fantastic. As a County FA, we're here to encourage and support clubs, leagues, schools and organisations to create safe, inspiring and enjoyable football environments for all to play in. The development of the female game across West Riding and the rest of the country is going from strength to strength and programs like this, will undoubtedly create exciting new experiences and we're excited and looking forward to working in partnership with Shaun further"

As a school we are excited by this innovative approach in using girls' football as the vehicle to then be able to work on messages and issues which affect girls in our society, as well as being able to support their confidence, mental health and well-being.

Since 2017, I've had the opportunity and privilege to coach alongside Shaun at a grassroots football level and across school settings. His passion, drive and knowledge to inspire young girl's leadership development through the vehicle of football is absolutely inspirational.

As the West Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime and the national lead for Equality, Diversity and Human Rights, I am delighted to have been able to support this program for young girls through the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund. “I feel a strong responsibility to keep women and girls safe across West Yorkshire, and it was one of the Mayor’s key pledges when she was elected in May 2021, and that includes empowering and inspiring young girls to be the best they can be. “By supporting grassroots projects through the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund, we are continuing to work towards a safe, just, and inclusive West Yorkshire for all.”

Our involvement with Shaun this year has really helped us to embed the key qualities and characteristics within everything we do in school. The children recognise resilience in themselves and are building their inner confidence to try to be the best version of themselves at everything they attempt & learn. A must for every school, and more importantly every child.

I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to you for the donation of these educational bags, and for all your hard work in supporting our schools (Clough Head J & I, Wellhouse J & I and Wilberlee J & I) particularly our vulnerable children and families. Staff and parents have been so impressed with the high quality content and range of resources provided. Thank you again for thinking of our families and providing such fantastic resources, which will make such a difference to our families in these challenging times learning at home during Covid-19

We’ve measured U Can Shine's impact and success…it works! It’s the most exciting thing I’ve come across that helps children to change the things that are most important to them, and does it on a really personal level for them to achieve more in life’"
